WEST SIDE TERRI

February 10 - March 4, 2012

The Hunger Artists Theatre Company is proud to present its second show of the 2012 season, West Side Terri. This original show stars Terri Mowrey, is directed by Christopher Basile and runs from February 10th to March 4th.

In this encore staging (for which she won Best Actress from OC Weekly in 2011) Terri Mowrey invites us into her living room and, in her unique voice, shares her love for and connection to the classic Bernstein/Sondheim movie. Intermixed with personal stories, witty observations, and little-known trivia, Terri presents the whole movie as seen through her eyes: singing, dancing, and performing every role. This funny and heartfelt show is one you are not likely to forget!

This show features veteran actress Terri Mowrey. Terri is an Orange County based actress. Terri originally co-created West Side Terri at Monkey Wrench Collective last year. Other MWC credits include Theatre Uncut, Shopping & F***ing, and pool (no water). She has performed at Stages, Rude Guerrilla, Capo Shakes, South Coast Repertory, The American Conservatory Theater, and Laguna Playhouse. Favorite credits include Yitzak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Emilia in Othello both here at The Hunger Artists Theatre CompanySally in Reefer Madness, and Beatrice Voysey in The Voysey Inheritance. She received her MFA from A.C.T. Later this year Terri will appear in pool (no water) at SCR.

Christopher Basile not only directs the show but has done the production design as well. Bri Pattillo is designing the lighting and Alexander Price has provided the sound design as well as being the choreographer.
