HEDWIG RETURNS!

Hedwig, born a boy named Hansel in East Berlin, fell in love with an American G.I. and underwent a sex-change operation in order to marry him and flee to the West. Unfortunately, nothing worked out quite as planned. Years later, Hedwig is leading her rock band on a tour of the U.S., telling her life story through a series of concerts in seedy bars and restaurants. Her tour dates coincide with those of arena-rock star Tommy Gnosis, a wide-eyed boy who once loved Hedwig, but then left with all of her music. A tragi-comic tale of an individual torn by a desperation for fame and fortune and their desire for redemption, understanding and love. All told through a collage of music, from bone crunching punk rock to soul wrenching ballads.

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH will return on Sunday - 9/25 at the Hunger Artists Theatre Company at 699-A South State College Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92831.

Tickets: $20, $18 for students and seniors with ID
