SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS

The Hunger Artists Theatre Company is always interested in producing new works. For over a decade, the Hunger Artists have been known for staging the world premieres of such acclaimed and award-winning plays as Johnna Adams' "Cockfighters", Darcy Hogan's "The Land Southward", Jeremy Gable's "The Flying Spaghetti Monster Holiday Pagaent", Emily Brauer's "Searching For Americana", Jason Lindner's "The Pledge Drive: Ruminations on the Hunger Artist" and over fifty "Madame Guignol" pieces, as well as world premiere adaptations of "Medea", "Marat/Sade" and "The Metamorphosis". As a three-time winner of the O.C. Weekly Theater Award for Best New Play, the Hunger Artists Theatre Company has built a strong reputation for producing daring and powerful new works.

We accept unsolicited scripts. For now, we only accept one-act plays.  Sorry, we do not accept full-length, children's shows or screenplays.

Please submit the entire script with a cover letter, author's bio, character breakdown, contact information and an SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) if you wish the materials to be returned. If you are submitting a musical, please include sheet music and/or a CD/tape of the songs. Synopses are discouraged, but we will consider them if submitted.

There are two ways to send scripts to us. You can mail the materials to:
